Description: | This publication consists of a 1:50,000-scale, surficial geologic map of Pike County and a file geodatabase containing the geologic data shown on the map. In 2022, Johnson and Finkenbinder mapped the surficial geology of Pike County using QL2 lidar, standardized the geologic units, and edge matched the surficial geology to that shown in Wayne County (Map 23–09.0). Glaciofluvial and postglacial fluvial deposits were sampled for optically stimulated luminescence dating, and sediment cores were collected at natural glacial basins for carbon-14 dating. |
